Egon Spengler (Screaming Heroes)
Year: 1989
Points Of Articulation: 6

Egon continues the trend of the 3 screaming heroes figures to be packaged with actual miniweapons seen in the cartoon. He was actually packaged with his trademark PKE Meter and a good likeness of the meter it was, it was amazingly detailed for a miniweapon. Egon comes packaged with a PKE Meter and a Mini-Harpoon with the Squid Squeal Ghost, which clips into his back. This Action Figure is worth buying just to have a miniature PKE Meter for your action figures.

The Screaming Heroes line was probably the most innovative of the Ghostbusters Action Figure line. What you would do is Wind the action figure up either by its arms or waist. Then you would clip the packaged Ghost onto the back or Torso of the figure then pull a small lever type thing on the figure's back and the figures arms would flap and flail around the action figure's Ghost actually produced a screaming type of sound designed to signify fright.

Mine may have lost the ability to scream now, but it was Egon and that is always good for a 10.

This screaming hero and the Peter fright feature kept me busy for a couple years, I was three when my mom bought me my very first Ghostbuster figures. Of course I did not realize that later in life I would get sucked into a Ghostbuster world!

Nice set, this is the best one in the line in my opinion, but the whole line suffers from a bulkiness in the middle.
