Ecto-1A
Year: 1990

Ah yes, The Ecto-1A. Kenner's attempt to translate GB2's behemoth Ecto-1A into a toy. Truth be told, the Ecto-1A is nothing but an ordinary Ecto-1 with a new sticker sheet. Check out the mold dates. Guarantee they say "1989" or something similar. For a list of features about this vehicle just see the Ecto-1 Section of the site. Because both cars do the same thing no difference. They even have the same Ghost.

The Vehicles in the RGB Line were ones to be remembered. They were very detailed but the strange thing is most of the vehicles besides the Ecto-1, Ecto-2, and Janine's VW Beetle never saw air time in the show. Granted the cars were good but some Vehicles straight from the show would have been nice. The Vehicles were however innovative with an Airplane, A Go Cart, And Even a Speedster. The Majority of the Vehicles came pack with their very own Ghost. The Ghost that came with the Ecto-1 was featured predominantly on many RGB Promotional Items.

Recycled toy, but it was still Ecto.

Great vehicle. It's the same as the Ecto-1, but I like this one better because of the stickers.

No offense to Ecto, but I hated the GB2 design and so I hated the RGB translation. Shoulda released her with lights and sounds, not crappy sticker sheets.

How can you hate this car?!? I had both the Ecto-1 and the Ecto-1A. I used the Ecto-1 to go out on busts, then the 1A to come back and acted like it got slimed! Sure, Kenner was being the money grubbing greed heads that they are, but it rocked!
