Which was a better movie GB 1 or 2

I'm going to say Ghostbusters cause it was new and fresher than Ghostbusters 2. The sub plots in 2 were not as good as the ones in the first. The second movie was almost a carbon copy of the first.

I don't dislike GB2, but GB had a better feel to it. It also had the Stay Puft entrance - my favourite scene in any move ever!

Hands down, GB2. I really can't explain why I like it better.

I deffinately like the first one bettr, it was much more darker than the second (such as the music and atmosphere). It was like "Batman" and "Batman & Robin". The second one was also much like the cartoon i thought...

I believe it's dabateable- and we did get into a debate, it would last for atleast 2 years. But I don't prefer either movie over the other. I do like to watch GB during Halloween though, and GB2 during the Holiday seasons- X-mas, New year. But they are both excellent in their own respects. GB2 however appealed to kids who are 14, 15 now on the Board because of the time it came out and how young they were when they saw it.

Each film has it's pros and cons. And each has memorable characters. It's debatable, but I like to think of it as one film, with 5 years in between.

That's what I say, Bobby J. that is why I feel most of the younger kids here will like GB2 more.

Im agreeing wholeheartedly to what bobb j has to say, because i watch the movies at different times in the year as well. also i hit the GBII dvd in the player in july or so, just to make me feel toasty .

I like the first Ghostbusters more. It was original and witty. That is what made it good. I do like them both though.

Ghostbusters is my favourite film ever.Second is Ghostbusters 2.But they both have 10 out of 10 on my chart.For me The original has that real 80's feel the mood,the atmosphere, especially when the ghosts are freed and flying over the city.Ghostbusters 2 is a well worthy film, has as many memborale lines and that to really does capture the time it was made in, the late 80's early 90's with the music again, oh know i dont know which one now erm....erm..i going to watch them now to decide.

i like the original better. though, i will always love GB2 i just prefer the original over GB2.
