Is she going to be in the comic??
Of course she was a vital part of RGB but in the movie her part was hardly as big as Dana's.
And we all know Dana missed the show.
I know... Such a horrible thought.

Guys Red spent a good 6 months here asking us what we want to see and you're actually worried he'd do something as stupid as making it without Janine?

If Janine isn't in the comic, some executive is going to be hunted down and burnt at the stake. 88 MPH studio, if they've been paying attention at all, knows this.
As such, I'm not worried.

I bet you anything if they include Janine she'll obviously have 21st century modern hair, like the guys obviously have in the new drawings. She'll probably be a cross between movie-Janine and RGB-Janine. Actually on second thought..I bet you guys anything she'll look much like she did in GB2.

On Louis...
As Roshanger once put it himself, I believe:
"Rick Moranis=Good"
"Louis Tully=Bad"
He's a lousy Ghostbuster, for one thing--Winston, Venkman, and even Dana and Janine (even the fake one from RGB Seasons 2-6) have him beat when it comes to the physical qualifications (being able to fight, aim, and lug a heavy unlicensed nuclear accellerator on his back; the physical stats in Ghostbusters International bear this out); Ray and Egon aren't exactly the pictures of physical perfection either, but they are absolutely unbeatable when it comes to knowledge of the paranormal and science.
And what is Louis's role in the company? Accountant and lawyer. And they had to actually make up and graft the latter persona onto him to put him in GB2 at all. Not much opportunity for action and comedy there (as they put it in Ghostbusters International: "Don't overuse lawyers--there's nothing funny about them").
So what's left? His "relationship" with Janine? Janine already has a well-established love interest, and his name is Egon.

That's the twenty million dollar question, isn't it? Personally, I'm not expecting much more then the unresolved tension between Egon and Janine that was the status quo for both RGB and EGB. I can live with that.
But you never can tell. The comic is leaning more towards the first movie, where Egon actually had a clue.
If they even try to set her up with Louis Tully, heads will roll.

uhh, the idea of Tully makes me ill. It was bad enough to watch in the later episodes of GB. Frankly, I'm all about seeing a E&J relationship. But that's just me.

Despite my inclination against unfounded optimism, I'm going to give 88 MPH studio the benifit of the doubt and say they should know that Egon and Janine is one thing not to mess with.
Why? Because J. Michael Straczynski says so.
Also, if they pay attention to the fans at all, they know several things:
1). There is a decent portion of Egon/Janine shippers among the Ghostbuster fan population.
2). Said shippers are deadly when provoked.
3). The number of Louis Tully/Janine shippers in existance can probably be counted on one hand. (If there are any at all; I doubt they'd speak up in the middle of this thread...)
So I'm not going to concern myself too much over it. To tell the truth, I almost perfer the undefined relationship that the pair had in RGB; stories about them developing a relationship will probably be a lot more interesting then one after they're in one. Not that I never want them to go anywhere, but they have plenty of time to develop it instead of just dropping into it.
