I was sitting in class today when all of the sudden a fan fic idea hit me. Since I've never written one before I wanted to get some feedback first.
My idea is a wtitten remake of Ghostbusters. What will be different is that will be replaced with actors and characters from SNL. The situations and plot are the same. I have no intention of saying those are my own work. It will only be a different interpretation of the original movie. After all, it is a classic and classics are often interpreted differently.
Character List
- Chris Kattan IS Dr. Mango Venkman
"Can you look at slime and tell it not to be sticky and gross. Such is Venk-Man."
- Will Ferrell IS Dr. George W. Spengler
The dyslexic President who collects spores, molds, and fungus.
- Tracy Morgan IS Winston Tyson
"You know what I'm thaying? You know what I mean?"
- Jim Breuer IS Dr. (unnamed) Stantz
Has a childlike personality and is always going bye-bye. May have something to do with always "smoking", man.
And your host...
- Christopher Walken as Louis the Continental
Enjoys champanya with his room temperature brie.
Even if I do write it, I won't be able to start until April or May. That way I will be able to devote the proper time, attention, and care to the project.
This will either be hilarious or completely stupid. Please let me know what you think, but if you don't like it, tell me why and don't just vent. I'm sensitive.

wow, while the written version would be neat, just imagine the actual version of that. my goodness, that would be sooo cool. but great idea!

Sounds liek it has promising characters. Are you going to keep it true or alter it from the original?

I'll change lines to fit the characters, but the story and events will be the same.

I'm also open to any suggestions as to what actors/characters should play Dana, Janine, and Peck.
