Yeah, that was one cool trailer. Y'know what? When I saw the shots of the Hulk covered in dust and under that falling water he didn't look like Shrek anymore... He really looked like the Hulk. And I kinda have more faith in Eric Bana to portray Banner since I saw him in Black Hawk Down.

In other words, I completely changed my mind about Ang Lee's Hulk. I have high hopes again.

I'm glad he has that super-jumping ability he had in the comics. Watching that incredible leap in the trailers was pretty cool. Seems he can also run hella fast too... man, this movie is gonna rock!

It's been a while since this topic was active, but since the movie is coming out June 20th, let's get the hype going again!

Last night, I played the new movie based Hulk game on PS2. Its's awesome, flows well, graphics are tight, and the Hulk's fighting skills make the game worth playing multiple times. Its hard if you don't know the cheat codes to get you through the levels, but all in all...its definately a title game fans should not pass up.

P.S. - The cheat code for Hulk's invincibility for the game is GMMSKIN.

I'm never one to make people jealous, but I got to see Hulk days before it opened! Actually, it was a bootleg that I bought and, while the picture quality was piss-poor, I liked the film a lot. It was pretty boring early in the movie, and works on a different level from X-Men, Spider-Man, and Daredevil. But here's the big spoiler: Look for Stan Lee's big cameo scene. He's talking to a burly security guard, who just happens to be the original Hulk Lou Ferrigno from the TV show. A nice bit of respect if I do say so myself.

Okay, saw it...wasn't all that great. The movie was good during all the Hulk fights, but the rest was too artsy for my tastes. I think this is one Marvel movie i'm only gonna see once. But I recommend the book to anyone out there! Took me a month to read X2 with my schedule, but Hulk's only going in 2 weeks.

I am a comicbook fan, I loved the already released Marvel movies, I liked The way the Hulk looked, the way he acted, the way the actors portrayed their characters, but why did this movie suck!?

I'll tell ya why

Okay, Now I'm not one for looking into every little detail about a movie and then bitching about things that arent in it, but this film had nothing! You see "the Hulk" but for a total of about 20 minutes throughout. I like the way Eric Bana played Bruce Banner, heck, all the actors did well but they had a shitty story to work with! It got way to dramatized and there were to many details that shouldnt have been and all of these little things stacked up to make a whole "HULK" of a bad ideas that made the film ulimately stink! I blame the crappiness of the film to Ang Lee. I like Crouching Tiger Hidden Dragon, but come on, this is a COMIC BOOK MOVIE, it turns into an artsy fartsy weirdo bullshit that made me cry. The story of The Hulk is a sad one, granted, but they dragged it on for to long till when he hulks out, and there was not a speck of happiness. Also, will Someone please tell me where Bruce's father came into the equation, it bothered me so much, it was like chewing on tin-foil having to sit through the lame-ass Edipus perspective and the movie became "Ang Lee's Hulk" more so than "Stan Lee's Hulk". Its a shame, I'm saddend one of my favorite heroes was brought to the silver screen in such a weird way.

On the upside, when Bruce was The Hulk, he looked incredible! The few parts there were action, the Hulk was kickin ass! It was cool to watch him jump 50 feet in the air and tare the cannon off a tank and bash the same tank with it. Character development was decent but ran long, epecially when there were thousands of different frames, like a comic, but every 5 seconds there was a new frame! Bottom line, if you want to see a good representation of a Marvel Comic Book this summer, check out X-men 2, it changed the facts that were in the comic but managed to be a good movie. Personally I dont care about comic book fact, I just didn't like the way they changed the back story of Bruce Banner and took the character(s) and idea into to many directions.

Review: 2/5
sad Its just a huge disappointment

Hulk was an "ok" film.

By "ok" I mean that it was not up to standards that could've been set. Ang Lee is a fabulous director and I agree that he made the film to "artsy." However the fantastic scene transitions were superb. The entire movie was shot like a comic. It was great. The movie was not up to par with say, "Daredevil." Which I though was a fantastic movie.

The film I think had to much plot, if that's possible. Just too much stuff going on. It was hard to follow. But of course I watched it with a hundred rednecks and screaming babies.

Needless to say I will go see this movie again. But that's just because I was confused to hell. I needed to read into the entire thing without the babies.

Ps- If you're focused into the movie you barely notice the CGI. It was pulled off excellent and the fight scenes are great. Also was David Banner turned into Abomination? I was just confused by that.

Matt
