Personally, I think, a Cartoon show should have been made about the Calvin and Hobbes Comic Strip.
I also think a Movie should be made about The Lockhorns, Leroy and Loretta.

I've thought about the idea... but considering Bill Watterson's aversion to commercialism, it never coulda happened. And it would have been incredibly difficult for the show to ever live up to the comic strip.
Done right, a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon would have rocked, but it just wasn't in the cards, apparantly.
What I think would rock is a Calvin and Hobbes video game!

A cartoon would of been cool, but only if done right.

I dunno. C&H.....doesn't need to be commercialized. What would the show be about? Or the video game? We can't do too much imagination, and the 'real world' of the duo doesn't have enough exciting stuff for episode after episode.

Calvin & Hobbes itself was anti-commercialisation. A show or a video-game, or even a movie for that matter, would've defeated the purpose and proved Watterson a hypocrite.

I really get sick of the phrase, "It would only be good if its done right." Its like saying, "When I get hungry, I feel like eating."

A cartoon series would be really good if they aimed it at not just a child audience. Ya know, done little plots revolving round their sledge rides, forest talks, etc.

There should never be a Calvin and Hobbes cartoon show. It would ruin my perspective on the strip whether the show was well done or not. It would ruin the small things such as the character's voices. I don't want to know what Calvin's voice sounds like, I can hear what I think it should sound like in my mind.
