Ghostbusters Convention Ideas.

Okay i know this has been a much discussed thing and many don't think it could happen, but we are always looking at a large scale thing. Whats stopping us from renting a ballroom for a day or two at a hotel? Charge a small fee(like fve or ten dollars) and bingo your in! It would be simple as heck. Vendors could just me your average Ghosthead trying to sell certain items, or props. A auction wouldnt be so bad either. Heck we could even has a cool little booth just for GBI. Now yes heres the problems- some of us are still unable to drive or are busy with school, work, ect... But if you think about it, it's not all that hard, it just if someone were to risk it, rent the ball room, and post about it, i think the turnout would be more than what people think it would be. Just think about the passabilities, we could all meet face to face, put an face with a post, make new friends that, hell just have a good time. If i ever come across a few thousand i think i know what i'll do with it..hmmm well think about it?

Okay GBVA you multi-millionaire playboy you, go ahead and rent out a convention center or a ballroom with those hundred dollar bills that I see falling out of your pockets and we'll all show up 
All kidding aside, there's nothing really stopping us. Except for the overhead.

We'd all like to get together and hold something here but its just not possible, for now at least. it costs alot of green to do that.

that would definetly be cool in some form or fashion and basically money is the only thing in the way...or if someone said "party at my house!" that could work...hehe

Hmmm, you know theres a hotel down here that has a smaller ball room, but still big enough to hold a mini convention, i think ti onyl costs a few hundred to rent it. I know i know, farfetch idea, but we really really need to get together here, like meet at a sci-fi convention, or gaming convention. I don't know i just want to see a lot of ghosthead all in one place at the same time.

See there is your problem:

I put the main point in bold. You just restricted it to about 10 ghost heads that would possibly be able to go. So why not just have a little party at one of your guy's houses instead?

as much as I would like to you would have to count me out...
I think the idea of meeting at an existing sci-fi convention may work better...
little set up and cash inolved on us ghostheads part...
We would need to find a good location...
Chicago is about midway through America and they have at least 1 big scifi convention...
of course we have our International Ghostheads too...
Thiers a lot of Michigan Ghostbusters... maybe if someone from each state organized small conventions....
for instance Midwest Ghostbusters (get a small hall, or even an outdoor place maybe? Could Cover Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illionois, and other surronding states...

Thats a great Idea it would be awsome to goto a convention and sell props and talk about ghostbusters. If this happened It would be a gould Idea to sign a pitition and send it to sony so they would make a GB3. It could work you never know. any thing is possible.

I don't think it'd cost a whole lot here in Zanesville, Ohio, but then again, I'm the only ghost head here...
What I think would be a sweet idea would be to convert both movies onto 35mm and show it at the locale. For the most part the idea isn't as farfecthed as the pricetag.

If one of you all actually get one set up I would do my best to make it. I would love to put one together in Houston but there are not enough fans in Houston.

Its not so god awefully expensive as everyone says. It just depends what state, what hotel, you decide to do it. I know if were in Minnesota for example if we had 100 people show up than it wouldnt be that hard at all to rent a big ballroom or conference room for a night. Many hotels like Holiday Inn have more smaller rooms that arnt quite as big as giant ballrooms to rent out to busineses for a smaller fee. "No job is too big, No fee is to big"
