Hi, as most of you know, I am LordVego. And I doubt many of you know that I am punk. Now in this thread we will now talk about our favorite bands, songs, some shows, stuff like that. BUT there is one catch... we can only talk about punk! Ska is acceptable. Emo NO. Only Punk and Ska. To start things off, my favorite bands: The Ataris, Alkaline Trio, No Use For A Name, Offspring, Saves The Day, All American Rejects, Rufio, and Useless ID. If i forgot some, I will just post about them later. Punks!! ENJOY!

my opinion: Punk is turning to poop due to wannabe punk bands....like the ones all over mtv. There are still good ones....but WAY more bad ones these days.

I agree with mrpecker b/c the sty;e of 2days youth is punk and they don't even no want punk is. How i know this b/c i walk up 2 them and ask do u know what punk is? they say "umm.. no" then i tell them ur dress as a punk and they say no were not

I listened to a lot of ska in my sordid youth, mostly from Two-Tone's era.
The bands that I listen to now, both old and new, include The Selector, The Toasters, Bim Skala Bim, Let's Go Bowling, The New York Ska Jazz Ensemble, Madness (yes, Madness...) and Atlanta's own The Robustos!
As for punk, I wasn't into that so much, though I do deeply miss Ian Dury. Though I'm not sure he considered himself punk. He was unique!

Punk rules! And will forever rule! Ska is the best! NOFX, Reel Big Fish, and The Orb are my three fav punk bands!

My fave punk bands:
Sex Pistols
Blink-182 (They're pop-punk, but that's okay)
Avril Lavigne claims to be punk
Clash
Vapors (I think I'm turning Japanese)
Sum 41
Billy Idol is the best of them all
I haven't listen to too many punk bands, but when I get the chance, I will listen to some DK tunes.

she better not have been! i know i said no bashing other bands but avril is an acception, she is terrible, and she is jus tlike what whoever said it up there she dresses punk but doesnt knw whats going on

What are you talking about? I love Avril. She's got an awesome voice. And I don't get why she gives off the punk impression anyway. What the hell does punk mean? Define punk.

1. Sell albums
2. Become popular
You're not punk anymore I wish people would just enjoy or not enjoy music for the songs themselves. Some people seem more concerned about being labeled or associated with a certain group of people rather than liking something because they like it or don't like it not based on who else likes it. If its crap music, then who cares?

I am also a punk, my favorite punk bands are:
The Offspring(Every song they make kicks ass)
Greenday(You can never go wrong with Greenday)
Goldfinger(I like there musical energy)
Blink 182(I like them but they are too MTV associated)
New Found Glory( There Punk covers are awesome)
And of course all of the older punk bands like The Ramones, The Clash, Sex Pistols still kick major ass!
