Once I work out the last couple of details, I'll post it on the PC front page.
I saw that you both listed (very cool)
I emailed you rc1762000 about not using a red pin (If you could relist that'd be cool), which I'd like to save for convention listings.
I'm still adding convention listings. I'd also like to avoid people posting conventions themselves (instead, just email me or post them here and I'll post them - it'll help keep things orderly)
And remember! If you go to an Anime con, you can dress up as an RGB (no need for a pack as much either)

That's Sheila Paulson - she's been doing her thing online for as long as I have. She mostly runs in Fan Fiction circles, though not the ones here - her fan fic circle outdates this board by years! Sheila has massive GB cred, so don't begrudge her too much.
I'm not familiar with Robin though. This is a perfect chance for interested parties to volunteer to help Robin and Sheila, so New Jersey / New York GBs make note.
And adding in conventions is taking time - once they're in though, they're in, it's just a pain in the butt to input them all at first. Should be done before the night is out.

I got your suggestion Rosh and thanks for updating your listing r.
What I need, if you two wouldn't mind helping, is to go through these US convention listings and filter out the ones that aren't of any interest to GB fans (or at any rate, the larger convention audience would find GB fans running around in costume really out of place - ie unwelcome).
Filk festivals, Star Trek conventions, literary conventions (it's tough to tell a movie / TV sci-fi convention from one that focuses on book sci-fi conventions - book conventions, probably aren't as desireable to GB fans as a place to meet and hang without other GB fans - for now, we'll leave them out) we won't bother with. Everything else, including anime cons (for RGB fans), please send me their website link.
Anyone else who wants to help filter cons is welcome to do so.
DON'T ENTER THEM YOURSELF PLEASE - the map system isn't as robust as I'd like, so it's better if only one person takes care of entering the cons.
I've been meaning to ask - I recently saw an episode of Chiller Theater (a public access Nashville b-movie show) and in a quick shot of the Nashville Horrorfest 2002 there was someone wandering around in GB gear. I think I remember reading someone's post about going (or read it on their website or something), but I can't remember who. Anyone know?

I'd be happy to help, but I do have one question. What is a filk festival? I saw that word on some of the convention pages but I don't know what it means.

The idea of small conventions this year and a big one next year is great! We can get the feeling of what a convention is like, and then we'll know what to expect for the big one next year. Way to go! I'm all for it! Oh, man, I'm excited!

If you're going to do something next year, planning has to begin now. This is partially why I suggested that people look into attending conventions in a more informal matter this year, as it will provide you with a lot of information you can use to set up next year.
