Cosmic-Riptide's Bio:
I suppose it can't hurt to tell you guys a little about myself, although I'm not really sure what to say.

On the net and in games I usually go by the handle "Riptide" ("Cosmic-Riptide" if Riptide is already taken.. as it is here on GBN).

I'm 26 years old and a graduate (with honors) of Art Institute of Pitt. I majored in computer animation and multimedia but my focus was aimed more towards cel animation and illustration.

I'm not a "chatty" person by nature (more of the quiet and thoughtful type) and I try to keep my posts more informative than emotional.

I pride myself on being a fairly rational and analytical person but I sometimes get the feeling that this makes me come across as sort of a know-it-all.

I have a keen eye for detail (which I'm also proud of) but it can be a hindrance at times.

My love of Ghostbusters initially stems from two things: 1. I'm a huge techno-geek and instantly drawn toward just about anything revolving around large amounts of technology (sci-fi or otherwise). And 2. the house I grew up in was haunted.

It sounds corny but GB helped me to cope with the haunting as a child because (despite being fictional) it gave me a feeling of hope.

My interest in the paranormal is most likely the direct result of both the house I grew up in and GB, and I wound up spending a good portion of my late childhood and early teen years in the occult section of the local library.

Admittedly, I'm no longer all that diligent in my studies or as well versed as I used to be but the overall interest still remains.
