Just getting back to this now……..contrary to what you might believe, the stunt packs were made of rubber. If you watch the DVD with live commentary (like mystery science theater) they mention in the scene when the packs first apear that they made two kinds, one kind wood for the close shots, and one kind rubber for the zoomed out shots where there jumping and falling all over the place.

just a word of advice, it takes many many long hours of building the pack… you just have to keep on thinking about how in the end it will be worth it…

Yeah….it does take a long time to build, personally, what I do, is just tackle one thing at a time. If I'm building the EDA, I forget about everything but the EDA. When I finish that, then I look at the next box I need to build and just think about that. By the time the project starts to get into the really difficult parts, I'll be mostly done.
