I always knew this logo with one leg.
Only saw the second leg in the cartoon style intro but that's normal because you see the full ghost without the sign.
Everytime you see the logo in the movie it has only one leg:

That cover looks great. I have some old magazines with movielines of the movies. I will try to look it up.

Best regards,

Robert

Thanks, I really appreciate this if you could find these movielines.

Hé, never saw that, is that a new intro? lol

If they never draw that second leg when the sign reach the ghost we never had any discussion about this.

Does someone knows original lines of a movie magazine or something like that of the two GB movies like for example from Willow: A Rollicking Fantasy-Adventure." -Leonard Maltin.
I want to put them on top of the back of the covers.

I'd like to see a cover with a close-up pic of Vigo's eyes in the shadows behind the ghostbusters.

This was in a lot of old magazines.

“They are back with twice the know how and twice the particle power to save the world”.

I will search for more lines.

best regards,

Robert

it's what you would call a miscommunication between the art department and effects department. The original logo probably had been designed with two legs but probably due to the art department being lazy they put it with one on everything (maybe it was like Mickey Mouses ears, the contrast just didn't look right!) but due to the departments not talking to each other (which is normal) the differences went by unchecked! Oh well…either way is right!

Apparantly it was something like that, the present theory is that the original rendition of the logo featured two legs… however at some point the design was lost and when it was re-drawn they forgot to add in the second leg.

It makes a degree of sense as they would've made it before producing the props… maybe they animated the intro logo before the design was lost?

Still, it's a small thing which at the end of things isn't that important.

thanks Kingpin for pointing that out… I posted a link to the thread but yet people don't click on it lol

yes it is important… they left the ghost physically incapacitated
