I recall reading somewhere about a debate as to whether or not Batman and Robin are gay. Personally, I don't see the point in arguing with fans about their heroes' sexual preferences. If you ask me, it can get rather disgusting. I do not for a moment believe that Peter and Egon are gay from what I've seen from the cartoons and movies. Nor do I have a problem with stories that depict them that way as long as it's understood that that is just an author's interpretation of the characters and nothing more.
