GB3 Question

Yet again, don't want to sound stupid, but I read somewhere that the movie Evolution was originally supposed to be the third Ghostbusters. Anyone else hear this?

Nope, news to me. But it reminded me of ghostbusters, a couple of guys, finding something mysterious, and figuring out how to save the world, but no, I don't think it was originally GB3.
