Universal Studios GB's?

I was at univeral studios Orlando a few months ago and saw the GBs out. The packs are pretty decent and are jet black.
On another note, when they used to run the GB show, the actors didn't really speak their lines. The audio was cut straight from the movie and the actors were pulling a Milli Vanilli. The show however was pretty sad. The whole “project special effects on a glass screen” trick should be reserved for the Haunted Mansion because it just works better.
On yet another note where the hell were the other Ghostbusters at the 2002 FX Show in orlando? I was the only one.

The packs they use now are all brand new. Georgepropguy is a Ghostbuster at USF.

cough. cough.
georgepropguy, are they hiring at universal for gbs? i've been wantin a job there for a while. could you help a brother out? i live in orlando and that would be supremely perfect for me to work at, if you can gimme an email, thesainttt@aol.com, or im me at thesainttt
krystenxxx, i live in orlando, but am hopelessly uninformed of any events. i went to fx two years in a row, but not dressed as a gb. if i knew, which i posted many times in misc for local gbs in orlando, but no reply, i would have been there with bells on.
anyway why are you all comin out of the wood work now?

I don't think they run the show anymore. I tried to search for it online but no luck. I wish I had seen it when it was around.

I've seen the 4-wheelers aswell. The superheros over in Islands of Adventure us them aswell from time to time.

“Coming out of the wood work”? We've always been around, we just don't talk about it much I guess.
It is nice to see people at the FX shows that are dressed up as someone besides a comic book or star wars charater. Not that there is anything wrong with that since Batman, Robin, and the Tie Fighter Pilot showed up this and last year and remembered me.

I am amazed at how much abuse my pack can take. All the rain and running with my fiancee through the streets just to get to the show.

I did soem old album searching and came up with some pics of the GBs from USF. As far as i could see the pack where metal, thick heavy metal. Guns were very inaccurate, th eposition of the gun on the mount was all wrong. From what i could see the only thing that was accurate were the injectors and the bumper. It didnt even have an ion arm to it, but those pack could be trashed by now.

I think Universal is slacking a little bit on the whole Ghostbuster thing.. Last time i went (five months ago) I waited and waited and when the Ghostbuster car came out.. a black guy (winston look-alike) was the only one out there and he wasn't carrying a pack. just a jumpsuit with weightlifting gloves on his hands.. really piss-poor if you ask me..I think a new GB movie is the only thing that can revive them..

Well, Universal isn't always that lame. Usually on slow days when there are very few people in the park they usually cut back on the amount of actors they send out as characters. But it seems recently they have changed this practice and seem to send out more characters when there are less folks visiting the park.

The day I went and saw ALL the Busters, in gear, and Ecto-1 the park was dead…and I mean dead. There was a max wait of about 2 mintues for each ride and walking around my friend and I could count the number of other people on our hands. It was one of those nice days you dont see for a long time. We were done with all the rides witin about 2 hours…if only things could be like that more often in Orlando.
