3D ECTO-1 with Surfacing and Render

As all of you know I’m currently working on a 3D Model ECTO-1. I plan on doing the surfacing and mesh smoothing after completing the actual model it’s self. But I was contacted by a user (Dyne) who wanted to use the exterior of my model ECTO-1 for a project.

Dyne was kind enough to send me a picture of the surfacing and rendering that's been done to the model.

Here’s a copy of the picture with the brightness turned up a little to make it easier to see the detail.


Lightwave was the Software Dyne used to make this picture. Set with a skydome render with radiosity.

Mac, you should be pleased with the work results thus far… the model looks beautiful and I can't wait to see how she looks once the roof's finished and the windows have been appropriated treated to show off her interior. (^_^)

The work speaks for itself in that render Dyne sent you.

Honestly when I saw the model after Dyne did the surfacing and rendering I myself was shocked at the quality. I’ll definitely do my absolute best when it’s time for me to do the surfacing and mesh smoothing. It’s the surfacing that makes a good model into a great model.

When I finished the model I sent a copy of it to Dyne for another Surfacing and Render. Also included this time, are the textures.
