YES BUT WHEN? October? or next october? like i said, i can deal with a week, even a month delay, but if this shit is going to delay the game for 6 months or somthing, i'll be very pissed off, because, there is no reason i can think of, other then stupidity for this to happen at all

Also, activision is fifth on that list of most profitable game studios. 2 somthing BILLION DOLLARS! Hell, titanic the movie dident make that much and its the highest grossing film of all time, and yet this is what activision pulls in a year, and you mean to tell me thats not enough cash to put out a ghostbusters game thats 98% complete at this point?

AT most, maaaaybe 2 months, I really dont see a year or six months happening, like i said, we have to wait and see. just calm down, right now its out of our hands, but it wont be that far off, there are many pros going for it
its only 3 months away from release, its mulitplatform and it has a demo, its not going to be that hard a sell like i said maybe 2 months at most to find a new publisher but its likely going to be less then that, clam down and wait my friend, not much we can do at this point.

other then to show our support for terminal reality and the game which all of us have done so far, so its just business as usual for us (^_^)

Lets let the business and publishing types do what they need to do. and we do what we do best, show our love for ghostbusters and this game!

Considering how much of the game itself is done…and assuming development will continue during the period they are looking for a new publisher…I'd have to agree with Kane…at most 2 months…maybe three…and that's if they find a publisher post-haste.

oh they will continue working on it throughout this period, i am 100% sure of that. they will most likely double their effort.

I am sure they will as well….but considering this day and age of mass hysteria, dogs and cats living with each other….one can never be too sure…

well, dont the publisher put up the financing for the game? for all i know, that could mean that activision has cut off the flow of cash to the game, and it could be at a stand still.

Also, 2-3 months, is alot, consitering it comes out in october, and 3 months puts it right in jan, the dead time for most games and movies. Im sure everyone wants the game in stores by Xmas, were it stands to make the most amount of money.

Look at it this way, little bobby wants ghostbusters the game, cause his big brother jimmy showed him the movie. But they dont got a next gen gaming system, so they go out, and get him the ghostbusters game, and a next gen gaming system, say in this case, the ps3.

But, the ps3 really shines on an HD set, so, they go out, drop 4 grand on a sony 50 inch full hd lcd tv. Now xmas day, little bobby and his family are catching ghost on the ps3 and there brand new hdtv! They are reliving there memories of the film, Jimmy says, hey, we should watch it, ON BLU RAY, so they pop in the blu ray of the movies, watch both films in stunning HD, go back to playing the game online with there friends across the country, and one of them says “hey my mom got me the cartoon series on dvd”

So the next day, bobby uses the xmas money he got from his grandma and orders the real ghostbusters complete dvd set. A week later, hes playing the game, watching the movies again, and pops in the real ghostbusters into his ps3, which upscales the image to near HD quality, and he for the first time, watches the continuing adventures of the ghostbusters on his brand new ps3 and 50 inch sony full hd tv set. He loves it so much, years later, he becomes a great artist and animator, all thanks to that memorable xmas when he was first introduced to the ghostbusters!

But no, activision delays the game, it gets sold in janurary, were it doesnt do as well, bobby doesnt have that magical xmas, becomes a drunk years later, cheats on his wife, calls his kids names, and dies a painful death dirt poor, and in a drunken stumber when he desides he and a baby grand piano are going to go skydiving with his home made parashut off the side of his runned down apartment building, all because ghostbusters wasnt out in time for xmas, and it crushed his tiny heart, broke up his family, and made his cute puppy cry!

NOW HOW CAN YOU DENIE LITTLE BOBBY NOW ACTIVISION, SEE WHAT YOU'LL DO IF YOU DENIE US THIS GAME OR DELAY IT, YOU ALLREADY HAVE ONE IGN'S EDITORS BLOOD ON YOUR HANDS, YOU WOULD DISTORY LITTLE BOBBY TOO! (see my other post about the Ign editor)

I HEARBY SENTENCE YOU TO NOT ONLY PUBLISH GHOSTBUSTERS THE GAME BUT IN THE FUTURE ALL OF YOUR GAMES MUST HAVE A “Trademarked by Douchbags” STICKER RIGHT OVER THE TITLE OF THE GAME

It's not like game production funding is paid out day by day, and when the publisher says stop, it stops to a halt. Games are funded by milestones, anywhere from monthly to a few months apart. Plus, the game studios are well established houses that may also have access to capital in addition to whatever funding for the project they still have. So, while Activision may have pulled out, the game is still getting developed - It's a crappy day for the guys in the pit, to know the game may currently be publisher-less, but they're working on Ghostbusters - they can take comfort in knowing that it's a highly attractive product. A lot of teams have faced the same problem with a new IP or unknown project, proud of their product, but unsure if another publisher will “get it” and pick it up. And that REALLY sucks.

This is just normal game biz stuff - awkward, and confusing, but typical.

Everyone should just fixate on the comics or the RGB DVDs for now.

Chris speaks the truth. I was once a game developer in a former life (a very short life) and it nearly ruined my nerves. I was stuck in the same situation Terminal Reality is now faced with, but in a very different scenario. My product was far from finished and my hands were tied. I had no choice but to abandon ship.

Let's focus on the positives. As I posted in the blog just a few minutes ago, we have a lot to be thankful for this year. The game IS COMING, it just might not be here when we thought it would. Stay healthy until then, and let's show the world that we have character and tact.
