Activision cans Ghostbusters game, I smell Bullcrap.

This may perk us up a bit, from destructoid.com:

–We have a quote from the Sierra PR team regarding Ghostbusters: “It is not cancelled and will not be cancelled.”–

However, that doesn't rule out being postponed.

Still “better late than never”

Hey everyone, i'm new here but have been readin for quite some time now hope no 1 minds me suddenly joinin in with yall.

Ok i'm really worried bout this whole situation. I signed one of the petitions and have emailed Activision voicing my concern. I only hope this matter can be resolved quickly n we can all get on with counting down the days to firstly the demo then the actual game it self.

Thanks everyone

I did it! I'm a Ghostbuster!

Reading between the lines I would brace for a delay, rather than a cancellation. Whether or not this be substantial i don't know, but will obviously have my fingers crossed that nothing goes awry at all. Judging by the (UK) re-release of Ghostbusters into cinemas, it seems as though Sony at least were banking on riding a publicity wave in the last quarter of this year, so that's something to pin hopes on.

I'm SURE we will see the game released, just maybe not when we hoped we'd get it. Man, no UK release of the Time-Life RGB, potentially delayed video game - did anyone say “business as usual”?! What a life to be a Ghosthead…

ya know, i doubt we're even going to get a delay, atleast im hoping we dont, because its less then 2 months away from launch, and it wouldent make sense at all to build up all this hype for the game, only to say, oops, were deyaling it six months or what ever.

Also, the holiday season is alot closer then we think, and activision is no fool, they will want there biggest titles out the door by xmas, to make as much money as possable.

I'm just glad the game isn't axed, but honestly, Activision dropping them is stupid. This games going to be big, and its going to make the next publisher to pick it up lots of money.

Activision is no fool? That's up in the air right now. As for the game possibly being delayed I say it's complete bullshit. They have gotten so far into development and to delay it now to put out crappy titles like Ice Age and Spyro is terrible. I am so mad right now I can't believe this is happening. Why does this always happen to us? :@ :-@ (o_O)

Really, they've never actually put out a date. They've just always said “This Fall”. GameStop is the one saying Oct 21st, not Activision.

On Activision website they have it down for a 31st october release.

This news freaked me out this morning… but now I´m calmed down and I know GHOSTBUSTERS can´t be dropped off… too many powerful hands will fight for picking it up and releasing it.

Now I hope there´s no delaying, cause I´ve been waiting too long for something like this… I couldn´t stand it.

No more.

Not that they're always reliable but ign still has the game down for Oct. 21. as of today anyways.
