Yourbigpalal83: You should tweak that a little bit and send it to Activision. That should make them jump off of their asses and give us all a clear and public statement as to the status of the game.

i know zootfly would jump at the oppertunity.

Not likely but you never know. It was my over all understanding that ZootFly was more intrested in developing a Ghostbusters game…

I honestly think that the only one up that Zootfly's version of the game has on the Sierra/Terminal Reality version is that they actually figured out a way to have the “lightning” swirl around the proton stream like in RGB and the movies. Granted, their plot for the game was a bit creative and based in a very “creative” environment, I still like the one we're supposed to be getting in October, better.

I really can't understand why Activision would not choose to publish it, but then again they probably have their reasons. Out of all the other companies that could pick it up, my bet would be on EA. The game is finished, or near finished, and EA has the money and power to put the game on the fast track for a October release.

Really I am surprised that companies are not throwing themselves at Terminal Reality to get to play this game. We all know it is a good game ( Something QZeddmore, myself, and anyone else that has played it can testify to ). We know it's going to sell, and the hype on it is amazing. I would think for most companies they would jump at the chance for a game like that.

It does boggle the mind honestly. This game looks like its going to be something else, and yet, they dropped it as one of the games that they're going to publish (*egon) smooth Activsion, real smooth.

Well there could be a multitude of reasons as to why they dropped it. One reason I would think is that Activision just decided to go with a more kid friendly direction for the company. Mind you this is just speculation. But look at the games they dropped:

Ghostbusters, Brütal Legend, WET, Chronicles of Riddick: Assault on Dark Athena, and 50 Cent: Blood on the Sand.

And which ones they decided to pick up:

Crash Bandicoot, Ice Age, and Spyro the Dragon.

All the games they dropped were pretty much T to M and were directed toward Teens to Adults. All the games they picked up will be rated E to T and aimed more at Children to Young Teens.

It just seems as if they decided to say “We want to change direction and work toward a more kid friendly audiance.”

Ugh, wouldn't surprise me to much, that kinda thing disgust me though, especially since T and M games aren't that bad as long as parents do their job, but I'm ranting now.

as a gamer, i got to say, its this bullshit casual gamer mentality that is ruining the industry.

Also, ghostbusters is in every way kid friendly. no sex, no drugs, no one gets killed, you trap ghosts! common, Its a TEEN rated game, at the worse!

Its not somthing like grand theft auto were your running aound killing hundreds of people and stealing cars, doing crack deals, etc. Its fucking ghostbusters man.

My god, what the hell is wrong with these people! IT WILL MAKE MONEY! I PROMESS YOU THAT! DONT DROP IT! Sure, it wont beat gta 4 or halo, but for god sakes activision, it will sell. we the fans have proven time and time again that there is a large market for it.

Actually, I don't think causal games are going to ruin the industry, but yeah, I agree that its damn stupid. If its even the reason Activision's dropping the game from its publishing deal.

Ghostbusters certainly isn't the worst movie or game there is though, so if that is the reason, then yeah, it'd certainly boggle the mind again.

A) it wont be cancelled to all those who think its cancelled, its not, just delayed until a new publisher is found which thankfully activision is helping with. (at least they have the good sense to help in that respect)

B) dont try to apply logic to this situation, the fact is, companies make weird decisions all the time, it happens, its annoying but it happens.

C) we will get our game, its not going to die, we will get it, even TRI said so and they to be honest are the most reliable people in all of this, they wont go quietly into the night with it, we will all have our ghostbusters game, a publisher will pick it up and they and we will get to laugh at activison.

its as Einstein said in C&C Red Alert (mega-geek mode ON) sooner or later, time will tell.
