AIM Users...

ICQ is nogstalic, AIM isn't very well written. I'm constantly having problems( although I attribute them to WinME) I jsut prefer MSN to AIM. I would never consider them fro my ISP though. Neither would I MSN. I prefer smaller more local companies for that.

Do you use AOL at home, Chad?

I personally prefer a program called Trillian which uses AOL, ICQ, MSN, Yahoo, and IRC all in one program.. it is pretty nice. Trillian

I use Trillian also. There is a downside to it, though: AOHell doesn't like it, so they keep writing patches to keep Trillian off of the AIM network. So, Trillian writes one to get on…and back and forth. Right now I'm having to use AIM until the next patch comes out. I much prefer Trillian; it's much more stable as a program than AIM and looks much nicer; no annoying ads.
When it comes to ISPs, if I have to use a dialup, I actually prefer local ISPs to the big national ones; the service is better and there are fewer busy signals. I dislike the “amusment park” atmosphere and the fact that they seem to make it purposely difficult to go to the world outside AOL's walls (with the “keyword” nonsense). However, nothing is better than free access to the school's T1 smile

I use AOL IM and ICQ at home (I've used trillian, but I like the real thing better so far). I login to AOL to check my mail at the office, but that's it. I have DSL, so using AOL is just for content since I don't need it to dial in, I just use my existing wireless LAN connection.

Right now I'm in the kitchen with my laptop trying to do some dishes so I can finally go to bed. I have to get up for work in 3 hours.

What a day wink

well, i dont really have an ISP. i just use Internet Explorer that came with the machine.

the reason i dont like AOL, is because i continuously got a blue screen when i get into a chatroom. after my computer crashed, i said “screw it” and i didnt bother to load it after. my computer seems to run smoother now.

i honestly like my MSN messanger. it just works better for me.

*cough* *cough*
I'll stick to whatever is here as long as it's easy and I don't hafta pay for it but AOL and AIM do suck, AIM for people bugging me about my user profile, it'd be nice if they just stored that stuff online like yahoo.
