I've been watching since right before McKids and the other reviews were coming out on Fridays but yeah the Nerd fans are bad. I do hate to see people bash him though though I guess that goes with everything on the internet. I'm glad he still reviewed GB and is doing the other games.
Whenever someone requested it, someone came along and said “so and so already reviewed that” The other guys review where he did it and Ghostbusters 2 were just awful I felt. Some of his stuff was okay but for Ghostbusters 2 when he “cloned” the Angry Nintendo Nerd to “prove a point” I felt it was just bad.

he does just come off as being a bad Nerd ripoff. I know its his own style or whatever but just no one does it like the Nerd :p Armake21 doesn't really elaborate well or show the games for how REALLY bad they are. At some point I just feel like “why am I watching?” There was so much uncharted territory when talking about GB. They're ok but it seems like his nerd “clone” basically sounds like himself wearing a white shirt. The second half seemed to be basically the same as the first.

I'd give him a B for effort, but regardless of how much time he takes to convince us he's not, he's a AVGN clone.

Man, I remember enjoying this piece of crap when I was little, and I had NO IDEA why, because the game is a piece of crap!!!!! Even once you figure out what to do, it's still sucks, and it's still boring! Damn you, Tokuma Shoten!!!!!!!! I'm curious to know how bad the sound and music on the Atari 2600 version is, and if I can sample it anywhere. BTW, speaking of that horrid 8-bit speech sample saying “Ghostbusters”, I heard a sound clip from the C64, and it sounded EXACTLY THE SAME, only more clearer, and there was a little manic laugh afterwards. It's like Tokuma Shoten just ripped it directly from the C64 version and just put it on there. This is probably what happened back in the development offices of Tokuma Shoten back when the game was still being made:
Tokuma Shoten, Japan, 1986:
Koji:Yamamoto-san!
Yamamoto:Yeah?!
Koji:How's the game music coming along?
Yamamoto:Good! I made a great Famicom version of the Ghostbusters theme song!
The programmers listen to the 8-bit version of the GB theme and watch the game being played to see how it fits in.
Kojierfect! I think this is the only music we need for the game!
Ryuichi:Yeah! We'll have it fade at the end, and then start up again! This will be great! That's all we really need!
Koji:Yeah, we're good to go!
Yamamoto:Wait a minute! I should record myself saying “GHOSTBUSTERS!” when you press start at the title screen!
Koji:Great idea, Yamamoto-san!
Yamamoto-san tries dozens of takes trying to record his voice saying “GHOSTBUSTERS!”, but NONE of them sound good at all, and he realizes that the japanese accent is part of the problem, so……
Yamamoto:Koji-kun!
Koji:What is it, Yamamoto-san?
Yamamoto:This game is a port of a Commodore 64 game, right?
Koji:Yeah?
Yamamoto:Why don't we just use the “Ghostbusters!” speech sample for that? I can't do it, my accent doesn't sound right saying it.
Koji:Okay! Saki! Set up the PCM recorder please!
They set up the recording equipment that makes PCM samples for NES/Famicom titles or whatever, and the fuckheads fire up the Commodore 64 and the game, and they get to the title screen or whatever….
Koji:Okay! Roll tape!
Yamamoto turns the tape recorder on
C64:Ghostbusters!!!!
Koji:Ttttttttttttttheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeere we go. I think we got it!
Saki:The game is complete! Let's show 'em what we got and unleash it on the public!
Anyway, GB2 for NES wasn't too bad. It was DEFINATELY better than the first NES GB game, but it's not by any means a masterpiece.
BTW:I doubt the majority if not all of the people who worked at Tokuma Shoten speak english, but I can't write or read japanese, so I had to write it in english.

Bits Laboratory was formed in 1985 by a group of former freelancers in the game industry. It was first known as Workss, judging by NES Ghostbusters, where the name of the developer was changed to Bits Laboratory between the Japanese and American releases. Some of the main staff have included Motoyuki “Motos” Kanayama, Satoru Miyazaki, Junichi Takao, and Masashi “Masas” Shimizu.
