A funny review, but I think it'd have been better if he used the swearing a little more sparingly. A few swear words here or there can be good for comedic effect, but they just become redundant when used as much as he did.

But I digress… Although I find it amusing ‘AVGN’ was able to dedicate three films to Ghostbusters, mind you… I think his following will likely die down again very soon, like most Internet trends.

He does IMO, tend to overdo it sometimes. Not so much in the amount of swearing but the quality. Just earlier swearing rants are one thing that made him so popular with a lot of people. More recently and in the past sometimes, he attempted to recapture that magic and a lot of the time, the swearing seems a bit forced. Not all the time though. Either way, I really dig the guy. To me(I don't know about others) but streams of vulgarites can still be hilarious. Overall, the swearing is what part of made the character funny to a lot of people and the frustrated things you shout sometimes when you're losing a game.

I find a lot of different things funny and one of them is the fact that in modern times, swearing has become somewhat mundane or not as “taboo” I guess. Just that anyone can open up their mouth and just start cussing up a storm. Funny to me in the sense that it is done so casually sometimes and its not as big a deal anymore. Well I mean to some people it still is. AVGN is probably most famous for his invented obscenities. Ala “motherpussbucket”

Really it is probably a lot of younger fans that are still at that age where cussing=LOL. Older fans are a bit more constructive critical of his reviews. Whether it be “it wasn't as angry” or the swearing seemed forced or there weren't as many laughs. He does still ask the fans a lot of what they like to see. Me personally I enjoy his reviews, though I do recommend checking out his earlier videos. Or even check out his review of the new TMNT movie as himself where he doesn't swear. Either way, I think he's a very influential, multi talented guy. Check out his film making site.

Since I discovred YouTube, I watched all of AVGN posts, evan his posts about the new TMNT movie and the one were he unloads tons of hate on the live action TMNT. Very funny stuff I must say, I don't really care for some of his languge choices though. I never knew that so many Nintendo Entertainment System and other old video games were so badly made as he demonstrated with The Karate Kid, Top Gun, TMNT and the others.

I like how he used quotes for the movies in his review it really made wacthing the video evan better. I am really surprised that he did not show New Ghostbusters II for the Gameboy or PAL NES. :-@

I guess he does not own a copy, I am sure if he did he would have posted it in the video. By the way the next time you got to YouTube check out the reviews of New Ghostbusters II that some others posted, all three of then said it was one of the best movie based games that they played.
As long as were talking GB video games here has anyone on You Tube posted reviews of The Real Ghostbusters for Game Boy or Extreme Ghostbusters for Gameboy Advance?
I am really curious to see what people think about them.

The recent AVGN reviews are well known here and on the other forums. It's amusing seeing just how much of a following he's got.

I enjoyed the mass hysteria rant he did but thought for sure he would have included some clips from the movie with dialogue like BTTF and Rocky.
