Angry Video Game Nerd Does Ghostbusters! (UPDATE Page 4)

I gotta agree with Zack on the swearing subject. I tend to find it pretty amusing, more so in his older reviews though. Often he tends to overdo it and I kinda start tuning out and losing interest, and sometimes it gets too repetitive. Other times it feels forced, like he's only doing it because people are expecting it, like it's his catchphrase or something. The only time it really bothers me is when he comes up with a poorly strung together series of expletives. They tend to come off as unfunny because they don't make any sense and get a bit redundant. If memory serves me there are times when he'll use a number of words in a string that all mean the same thing, and it just feels so unoriginal and annoying because it feels forced again, and it also feels like he couldn't think of any more interesting or lesser used cuss words to throw in the sentence, and if you can't be original with it, then just don't say it. I dunno, maybe I'm not making any sense, but I find trashy humour and swearing funny, but only when it's used in an amusing manner. When you force that stuff it just makes it seem like you can't think of anything else to say.

It was like a combined 45 minutes of him talkin about GB…. Isn't that enough for you people?

Me and my friends just got around to watching these. I thought they were pretty entertaining all in all. (Did anyone see him slam that perfectly good Ecto-1 toy into the ground?! So angry that guy…) It was also cool to see him quote various lines and such from the films, and from the looks of all the toys he still has, it'd appear he's a decent GB fan (unless he just e-bayed ‘em all). And I pretty much agree about his cussing being unecessary, although his overblown anger it quite amusing. I especially like that he doesn’t even have to make “jokes” half the time, he just points totally absurd things out. Like mispelling Gozer?! Congratulations?! Having to “buy” ghostbusting equipment from an outside party when you're the ones who invented the bloody junk in the 1st place?!!! So ridiculous and so so true. The blasting of the cartridge was cute as well.

This guy's a riot. I discovered him a few weeks back.

The Friday the 13th one is hilarious. I think it may be my favorite.

Well James Rolfe has a new video up and Ghostbusters made the cut. Gozer is on there as one of his top 10 baddest bad guys…as usual, WARNING on some explicit language.
