Animated would be best

I say scre it really…if they're not going to give us a film, I say atleast have Aykroyd and Ramis help to put out a GB3 novel or comic book…a hell of a lot cheaper and you can write in whatever you want to happen. Obviously Murray was nice enough to sign off on the ‘RETURN’ novel and the 88mpg comics…why would'nt he do it for a GB3 adaption?

Why didn't I think of ‘88MPG Comics’ for Ghostbusters.nuts?

(*egon)

It really does depend… of course, it would be disjointed to have an animated film after two live action ones… a little bit similar to Street Fighter and Street Fighter II and could also suffer from Disney Sequel syndrome.

Of course, I'd want a movie to be released straight to theatres… however the problem is there's a certain preconception that because it's animated… it's not for adults.

Now, if it was done in a vein to Titan A.E.… it could work nicely.

But yeah, it's not the preferred choice.

I'd love to see a Ghostbusters animated movie with the RGB designs… but sadly it would have to be something new as RGB's been out of the public eye for too long.

Dr.D
Did you guys stop and think how GOOD it would be if GBIII was a CGI movie. Just think, Dan, Bill, Harold, and Ernie could look the same way as they did 22 years ago. With Bill making movies like garfield, maybe he would be more willing to be in an animated film. Just a thought.

Wow man, you pretty much predicted the future half a year ago.

I was bored:

I need to go back and darken the boys in…multi colored uniforms… in the second poster, but I'm a little lazy…lol. Plus, I just did it because I was bored. I want to do one for GB3, but can't find descent enough images. I was thinking some shots from Back in the Saddle would work…but I cant find hi-res ones…so whatever.

Those are very cool. BUT it somehow reminds me of Doug the movie and I have a feeling that's what it'll be like if they make RGB: The Movie. I think it would be cool if they remade the original film using animation of RGB and just released it to DVD. Would be very inexpensive and wouldn't take long either. They would have nothing to lose. And it could prove if the general public is interested in more Ghostbusters. I got the idea because I heard someone mention them doing the same for the Star Wars OT.

Sinister
I suppose I should make myself clear on one thing.

I have nothing against a cartoon animated Ghostbusters movie.

An animated Ghostbusters THREE, would make me want to die.

Do you still feel that same way?

I started a thread on the same topic more than two years ago! It's here somewhere.

Okay, for all you GB3 CGI naysayers, I have but one word for you:

VERISIMILITUDE.

Meaning, in order to achieve “realism” in the eyes of a moviegoer, you have to stylize your characters, but just enough to make them believable. For me, “The Incredibles” is the benchmark in place for how GB3 should look–it's stylized, yet you believe it as if it were live action.

Wouldn't be my first choice but I can accept Incredibles style CG.

Incredibles style, which is awesome, is not going to work. I can see a style like use in video games, like zootflies video game. Realistic.

I agree, I do think that would be best.

If they're going to use Incredible style then it shouldn't be GB3, but more like a continuum of RGB just with the actors' likeness.
