What can I say, Activision has done pissed me off greatly. Shame really since I was looking into that Spiderman game that's coming out, but of course, the publisher for that has done pissed me off.
Seriously, this was going to make my year, but thanks to Activision, they done made the end of 2008 pretty damn shitty.
And you're done making it harder on yourself than you done need to be.
So the company done canceled the game and you're done mad about it. That doesn't mean that you need to done not buy another product by them. So they done did it with one game and you're gonna done throw a temper tantrum and not buy their products anymore? You're willing to sell yourself short of a good experience in another game you were looking forward to in Spiderman cuz you're that done mad? Sounds pretty done immature man.
I get the idea of boycotting, but why sell yourself short and miss out on an experience in the Spiderman game? It doesn't make sense. You're not hurting the company, you're not going to make a difference by not buying their product. If its something you're going to enjoy, why not buy it? Who cares who the publisher is!
And I completely echo Kingpin's sentiments. You're not a bad kid, you're capable of making interesting points and holding a conversation… but lately you've been getting damn near as annoying as Ghostbusters3willrock, and that's just no good for anyone.

as you may have noticed I haven't been around for a while. Mostly because of my fathers illness but also because I am very disappointed at what is taking place with the game but also in our community. That doesn't mean I haven't been reading. This whole issue has turned people on each other and I want to add my two cents.

well you and skankzero may be right, but in my view none of the companies have done nearly enough to keep us interested in the product. Ok , so the game is nearly finished. We know that much. But if they were making this for us which they claim, during this time of uncertainty , It is a perfect time to release information on their websites :Blogs , character art, TR and RedFly documentaries, actor clips talking about the game , character and level design photos , more tech demos on youtube , clips from the designers on the parts of the game THE LIST GOES ON!!!
fact is , TR is still developing the game , If they want to actually sell copies of this game to non GB fans they need the press, and this is what the 21st century of gaming demands. We as gamers like to know more about what we're going to be playing. It's almost like the special features on a DVD ! thats what I buy them for anyway…
and last but not least , as soon as they new it was going to be delayed they should have released the demo to keep it in everyones minds. In my years I have seen demos for many games that eventually became delayed or didn't come out for a while. they really made a mistake on that one. Now, WE HEAR MORE ABOUT THE 3RD GHOSTBUSTERS MOVIE THAN THE GAME THAT WAS ANNOUNCED FIRST! who could have predicted that
anyway point is , I am your future company income. Treat me right.
The Conduit for Nintendo wii was doing demos and clips with out a publisher for months.
and right after this game lost it's publisher , people where still doing reviews.
Honestly, with the amount of press it got at first when it was announced and the amount of images that were released, I doubt they can release that many more without spoiling the game's storyline, which I certainly don't want to happen. I guarantee that when the game is closer to coming out, and the publisher is all set and ready, that there will then be more publicity. All we'd get right now is more bitching if they were releasing more images. People would be saying “Stop showing me more previews and give me a damn release date!” It'll happen in due time. I'm not the biggest gamer in the world, but if the game isn't coming out until June, there's 8 months to promote it. Promoting it a lot more before that wouldn't make the most sense. Promote it a lot as it gets closer to the date and get people interested then. If people get interested now, they're gonna forget about it (talking about casual, non-GB fans here).
Now, for the part I've bolded. I don't know what you mean by it, but it doesn't sound like you mean how I think some of us are starting to feel. I'm damn sick of what's going on with the community right now too. I'm sick of people being nothing but negative when nothing has been canceled. The game has been delayed. That's all. There's a good chance at a new movie, a new comic coming out this week… and all people continue to do is be negative for no damn reason. Guys, we're having the biggest product boom in GB franchise in the last 15 years. Being negative right now is downright stupid. Get excited, buy the new stuff, and support the franchise so that we get more new stuff. Don't jump ship, and get all “cats and dogs living together” on everyone because the game doesn't have a publisher yet. There's still plenty of other stuff to be excited about. The negativity is such a drag on this community. I swear its a good thing mood slime isn't real, or we'd be feeding a much bigger river of it than we saw in GB2.
