I could see your frustration. That said, you have a year. The movie is likely going to arrive on Blu-Ray (high definition) at the same time the game comes out, so perhaps go with a Playstation 3?
Wait, so they
are releasing the “movie” then? And only on Blu-Ray??? I'm confused. (*peter)

*Anyways, it's be a STELLAR idea for the “non-gamers” and “movie-buffs” alike here to see this as a movie by itself as well as a game…
*I mean Dan DID SAY that “GB3” would be CGI, did he not? :p …
My thinking exactly!

Releaseing only the cutscenes as a ‘third movie’ could actually lead to problems as I've found it to be rare these days for the story to only be in the cutscenes.
Well they could easily insert gameplay footage with some professional gamer playing out the action scenes, if indeed thats the case, which I imagine it might be. It may not all flow like a movie, but surely they could edit together something that gives you the
entire story, without the unnecessary long stretches of game playing. I
know there must be other ghostheads out there like me (poor, non-gamers), or even just casual fans that want to '
see' the next Ghostbusters, and nothing else, inexpensively. I think doing a DVD like that makes
perfect sense, and they could probably load it up with tons of interviews and behind-the-scenes stuff too; I'm sure we're all dying to see stuff like that. As long as they do
something so I can still see this thing I'll be happy….

Can't you just get the pc version when it arrives and put up with it as a game? Maybe that'll reinvigorate an interest in games.
Considering I use a Macintosh, that probably won't happen.

I wouldn't be at all opposed to playing it, the problem is, the only video game system I own is a first gen. Playstation 1 which I haven't played in years. And I'm not gonna buy a PS3, or X-box, or whatever consoles this game will be available for, simply to play one bloody game.
