anyone getting the game early?

Has anyone else started searching for the game at small, non-chain, video game stores?

Every time a game is released that I'm super hyped for, I usually have luck finding it at least a couple days before the street date from one of those small shops. One week out is usually a good time to start “the hunt.”

So far, I've checked about 11 stores in my area. Two of them said they might be getting it in a late shipment today… Anyone else having any luck?

I might be able to get my hands on a copy as early as friday 12th from a place not to far away. Fingers crossed!!!

I don't even think we have any “local” small shops… With 2 Walmarts, 2 GameStops, a Best Buy, and a Target… I can't think of anywhere else that would carry it.

I WISH I could get it early though.

I too don't have any “small, local” stores anymore…well at least none that sell videogames. Now if you need D&D or table top supplies…that is a horse of a different color

hoping to since i found a 24 hr walmart but no one with a IQ higher then a peanut is working so they cannot tell me if it will be available at midnight or at 10 am

I was thinking places like KMart and Sears might put it out early, they don't really seem too up on the whole video game thing. I was thinking maybe Blockbuster and Hollywood Video. I'm not looking for it though so I'm not too worried, just thought I'd share my thoughts with others who are looking for it.

Dark Horse Comics?

The local stores that I were referring to also sell comics as well (usually Dark Horse or trade paper backs of other comics).

Maybe try employ a little tact guys, not everyone's going to have then chance to get it early.
