Yeah I have checked the market too. I track these things all the time. But I tell you something, a lot of the winning bidders are collectors who own shops.I know a few who surf ebay constantly looking for the best buy, while also screwing over the other bidders, just so they can make some money off of it. It is a unpredictable hobbie and job. I have seen a Proton pack MIB be bought off of ebay for $35 and then sold in this guys shop for $70. THat is a major profit to them. Just goes to show that you can never really set a price on a collectors item. Really just depends on the person who is buying.

i just hope the person who gets the chance to buy this lot for $50 isn't the kind of person who would list the items on ebay the day he/she recieves them. anyone can write an essay saying why he/she would love to have them, keep that it mind.

“You see, being able to purchase the toys wouldn't be about ”adding them to a collection“…”

sounds like it to me nothing wrong with that, though.

nicely done voice. i feel that every ghosthead that yearns to have the original REAL GHOSTBUSTERS toys are after the very same thing, regaining a peice of childhood that was once lost. the same thing happened to me, my mother gave away my figures, which weren't that many. also, like you, i'm going through a VERY tough sememster in college right now. not just academic wise, but i've also had to deal with the loss of a three year relationship, the divorce of my parents, and moved FAR away from home for the first time in my life. anyway, i'm not going to try to make this into an essay for the so-called “competition”, as easy as it may seem. GOOD LUCK guys! :d

I know I would love to get a hold of the old Proton Pack. I know that I'll be able to give it a good home and take good daily care of it. I'd love to re-kindle my childhood fire again. So maybe we'll be able to split these toys up so everyone can get a peice of their childhood back.

Finding all 4 together is a rarity in it self. So you cannot make a price judment over the times you have seen it. People sell things like this at garage sales and flea markets for 5 bucks a piece, cause they don't no, nor do they care about the value. I have been watching this thread and it's posts since it started. And I have to say that Osborn, you should turn your defenses down a bit. Doesn't appear that you are stating your case very well, but instead are trying to sabotage others chances. At least that is what I have gotten out of your negative and opposing posts. Please don't take this as an insult. THis is just an observation by someone who is not in the running.

Oh, I read the posts, But if you are out of the running then why are you still posting here? Just curious. When I say that you are trying to sabotage others. I am referring to your posts basically implying that if you can't get them, no one else should. You appear to be trying to pursuade Mrs Clark to handle her kindness a different way because you are out of the running. Oh and please do not question my collector's instincts. I Know these are rare items and I know there worth. Try reading my posts!

in no way do i think mary-ann should NOT sell these items to fans. i think she is giving the opportunity for a collector to purchase something he/she may not have the kind of money it takes to otherwise purhcase them. why am i still posting here? because i can, and i am interested in seeing who wins the “contest.” i am also enjoying discussing “lost childhoods” and the quest to regain them. is that something against the rules that i missed in the FAQ back in 2001? what kind of statement is ‘if i can’t have them, then no one can?' when exactly did i say or even imply that? i surely can't remember it. I decided to drop out of the running. i could have stayed in. if i was trying to “sabotage” this thing, belive me, i could have. i'll be VERY happy for whoever wins the chance of purchase. now i'm through with this petty little argument.
about your “collectors insticts”… don't give me a REASON to question them.

If that is the true nature of your posts, then I apologize for reading your intentions incorrectly! It just seemed like an undertone that existed. Ahh well, all is good, I hope I have not offended you at all.

P.S.I never gave you a reason to question my Collector's instincts!
