Anyone read the second half of my Shining story yet?

I am not going to write anymore of it until I get some feedback for the first half to make sure i have a reason to be non-lazy, so I figured I'd advertise a bit. The second half is much more tense than the first, pushing the story up a few levels…

What's it called?

A Ghostbusters-Shining crossover seems very cool.

Feel free to read the second chapter of my Hellraiser-Ghostbusters crossover. It's a little more cerebral than the first. smile

So wait I'm confused? Your post asks if anyone has read the second half of your RGB/Shining Crossover yet, but I haven't even seen it up. I've only seen Part 1 up. Maybe I'm wrong though and it is up. So are you saying you finally have Part 2 up, but your waiting until people have commented on it before you write a third part? Or What?

Correct, and the second half has been up since that last huge update was made. I guess it's just tough to pinpoint, that's all…you can check my profile or the crossover section for it…

Well, I saw your rating, and while I don't agree with the fact that you've based your liking of it solely from the fact that I'm going with the movie instead of the novel, I appreciate your explanation of what you don't like…

A person is allowed to give a reasonable rating as long as they give a good enough reason. He obviously would have prefered if you'd written it to follow the events of the book. He was just giving some constructive criticism. Even though it doesn't follow the book, it should turn out to be intresting.

Well, Kingpin I do understand that. But by her description, as I interpreted it, she was basically saying “hey, this isn't based on the movie, so instead of rating the story on it's content, I rated it more because of that factor.”
I'm well aware of the room number and what else was/wasn't in the book, but I decided to go with the movie version.
Your rating suggested that I use the book, but you didn't rate my story for that reason.

It would be like if you say, made some Sim skins based on the RGB characters. Someone comes along, looks at them, and you've done a great job giving them a variety of colored suits and details, etc.
Out of 10, this person rates you a 5, saying “You did a good job, but you should've based your skins on the movie characters instead. In the movie, Ray didn't have red hair, Egon wasn't blonde,” etc. I am not saying I'm complaining, I would rather people read my story than not read it at all, but I don't agree with the reason she gave me a 5…

yikes I never thought of it that way. Well, either way your story should be very intresting. Thanks for giving me that insight into things. smile

*sigh* now if the person that I wanted to could only see this post, it'd be all better…
