I think that the Ecto-1/1a falls under the funeral convoy laws. a hearse performs a service, at times allowed to run red lights properly equipped or with a flower car in front. the Ecto-1/1a performs a service, it is a hearse (lol)… it just depends what licencing and what area of the country you live in. end of story.

i sure they have the licenses to preform such a service. i mean, they can go get special training for that style of driving, and then become licensed. they may have taken care of that first, they may have done it later on, but they are allowed to do such things, as breaking speed limit, running red lights, using the sholder on the highway to get passed traffic… stuff like that.

I'm sure they weren't susposed to.. but still did.. or in order to get around it, the usually just always gave them the green light in (RGB and EGB).
