Just curious to know if anyone here has ever met any of the actors from Ghostbusters and how was it like? I went to a recording of Dan Akroyds old show Soul Man. At the end I had the chance to talk to him but I was too scared and didn't. If I had the chance again, I would definatly talk to him. I don't know if this topic has come up already, forgive me if it has.yikes

You were too scared to talk to Dan Akyroyd!!?, I bet that was a bummer but its no big deal, I understand how nervous you must've been.

I know, I know. I ruined a chance of a life time. I so regret it.

Oh, Mike! What a shame! LOL! I feel for you though. I'm 110% shy, so I know I wouldn't have took the chance either. Well, if I was with someone, I wouldn't have, cos I have this fear of making a fool of myself with someone who knows me nearby, but if I was by myself, I might have chanced it, cos there'd be no witnesses if I fell on my face or something.

But I don't think it has anything to do with him being a celebrity cos I have several celeb friends online and I've known them for years and still feel weird about talking on the phone or meeting them. It's just people in general that I can't cope with.

A similar story to yours….I used to be online friends with Kelsey Grammer back when I was going through my “Frasier” phase, and I went to CA and coulda went to the show and met him and hung out with everyone, but I didn't let him know I was there until after, so I didn't get anything set up. I was too nervous to set it up.

But I'm hoping that through some of the people I've run into online, I'll at least make a connection with someone who knows Dan and I can pass along a hello to him.

I saw David Margulious (sp?) at the Guthrie Theatre in “The Price” (one of the best plays I've ever seen) I brought my Making Ghostbusters with me to have him autograph it, but my mom made me leave after the play. I was so bummed!

In case anyone wants to know or cares: I also saw Patrick Stewart (of Star Trek fame) in “Who's Afraid of Virginia Wolf” (excellent play!)

Ooh, I was a big Star Trek fan (original though) and woulda loved to run into Patrick. The movie version of ….Virginia Woolf? with Burton and Taylor is probably my fave movie.

I went to a Sci-Fi convention and sat next to Jeremy Bulloch for five minutes. Didn't say anything, though. I didn't want to ruin the moment.
