Did either of the Firehalls (LA/NY) really have basements?

Like the one where they shot interior scenes (LA) and the H&L 8 in N.Y. did any of them really have basements? thanks. im gone.

I'm pretty sure they did, or atleast the LA firehouse did. There were stairs leading downward.. so there must have been something.

I'd always wondered why the guys slept in one room. Didn't they usually have a lot more firefighters per house? Did they all sleep in one single room? I've only been to a firehouse once, maaaaaany years ago. Gotta love that pole!
I'd guess the basement is where they'd have the circuit breakers and such things.

All of the NY Firehouses that I've seen, all 2 of them, have all the firemen in one room, with like a locker buy their bunk(bed). Its the same with one of them here, the other has two rooms for sleeping, but still more than two firemen.

it must be a really small utlity room adjacent to the parking pads for the trucks then. im gone.
