I have questioned this too but I`m sure it may have something to do with the trap having a huge force that would knock you back. Damn I want a proton pack, my kid brother little wants one.
didnt ray carry a trap when he had the slime blower? or is it just me?

skull, i think it would be a little bit dangerous to hold the trap as it opened. its possible Ray could get shocked if he were to open it when he's holding onto the handle. those things are high powered proton-induction/electromagnetic field generators. its just to dangerous to humans.

Come to think of it, I believe it was safe to hold a trap in the EGB cartoon series. Then again, not many people pay attention to that cartoon… Anyhow, does the Slimer Blower really neutralize ghosts? I believed it only worked on like, tangible things like people and uh… national momuments.
