i just finished watching episode 36 and wow!

that was great!

finally they bring in a legit “villian” that could of possibly had a comeback in future episodes if the show stayed.

through the whole episode, it kind of reminded me of the 88mph Legion series. for those who havent watched it yet, watch it and you'll see what i mean. :p

Could a kind patron direct myself to the episode where the RGB team up with the XGB, episode.

Oh how good that episode was. And Peter was so right about those stupid teens. They barely know what they're doing. It's not so much about me not wanting a new set of ‘Busters at all, it’s just how dumb they are. The Extreme GBs can't hold a candle to the originals. They're all old in “Back in The Saddle” and they still could do better than the new ones. Maybe I wouldn't be so against it if The Extreme Ghostbusters were a set of ACTUAL Ghostbusters, who are interested in what they're doing, and know how to properly do it. Was Egon under the influence of alcohol when he hired the new team? Roland was the only one “correct” for the position and I didn't like his personality. If Kylie was such a genius, why did she dress like a stupid goth girl? Does the Ghostbusters need that kind of image? Eduardo, don't get me started on that fool. The Ghostbusters are suppose to be scientists, not moronic slackers. The idiot did not even know what 4 x 2 was. If you don't know that, you don't belong anywhere near the HQ. Then there was Garrett, he had the best personality of them all. The guy had potential, but just when the writers are thinking up a good character, they f**k him over and put him in a wheelchair. If you are physically handicap you do not belong in the GBs! There are plenty of other places to try. It's like him trying out to be a firefighter! The job of a Ghostbuster is not for everyone. He was a danger to himself just by being in that environment! They just had put him in a wheel chair. Pfft.

The only ones that can even be justified in my eye are Roland and Kylie(another decent character they had to **** over.

and what about Kylie? maybe the goth character was a bad idea but some gothics have interest in the paranormal and probably why the writers made Kylie a goth/dark character… or maybe they just wanted to create a new team with different characters to whom people could relate to…

now don't get me started on Garrett… what do you have against people that are physically handicapped? do you have any idea what it means to be stuck into a wheelchair? or do you have an idea how much it is nice for people stuck into a wheelchair to see a character into a wheelchair kicking @$$ at least on a cartoon?

You're right about Winston on both accounts. But Peter definitely knew a little of what he was doing, “I have degrees in psychology and parapsychology”. So I'll assume he did know something. As for him caring, it was his entire idea.

What do I have against people that are physically handicapped!? Again, it's in my previous quote! That is EXACTLY like saying the government has something against handicap people because they prevent them from being firefighters! It's for their own good. They live in a fire station, it's a hazardous place for someone who is in a wheelchair. Would you hire a mute as a telephone operator? Does that mean you have something against mute people? Tell me where I am morally wrong here.

With that said, I must remember it's only a cartoon. I completely agree on that last sentence.

I have not only just thought twice, I've just posted twice. My opinion will not change. And I'd like you to point out which statement of mine was ignorant. Just because others don't agree on something, doesn't make it ignorant.

I'm sure there are lots of other discussions about the merits or lack thereof of EGB, but I'll say, from my perspective, I liked it better than most of the dumbed-down Slimercentric crap RGB shovelled on us after JMS quit.

The only complaint I'll come close to agreeing with is Garrett being in a whieelchair: I was stuck in a wheelchair myself for six months, and I could barely get in and out of the house without help. Even as athletic as Garrett is, I still can't imagine trying to chase ghosts through a haunted house like that. Other than that, I think he's a great character–brought a lot of energy and gung-ho to things.

“Back In The Saddle” wasn't without it's flaws. For one thing, it was Dave Coulier instead of Lorenzo Music. And for the life of me I can't figure out why the f*** Ray is wearing one of Egon's flight suits…

The only complaint I'll come close to agreeing with is Garrett being in a whieelchair: I was stuck in a wheelchair myself for six months, and I could barely get in and out of the house without help. Even as athletic as Garrett is, I still can't imagine trying to chase ghosts through a haunted house like that. Other than that, I think he's a great character–brought a lot of energy and gung-ho to things.

remember : it's only a cartoon… but I have to agree that some of the stunts that he did were quite impossible…

some said it was so people won't confuse Ray with Garrett, which I think it's impossible since Garrett is on a wheelchair… then again, Ray seemed a lot more fat than before so how could he fit into one of Egon's flight suit anyway? a mystery that won't be explained unless they release a EGB dvd boxset with highly detailed comments like the Gargoyles dvd boxset…
