Back again with version 5 of Ghostbusters Ecto Goggles. This time I opted for a more “movie accurate” green camo for the base paint job, along with some ultra-flat black for that military look. Labels were added for detail, including inside the viewer to recreate the movie's HUD. Insulating foam was added to the rims for comfort. The lighting system features 3 LEDs that morph through colors very quickly, blink through different sets of colors, then go back to strobing, for that spectral scanning effect. Or as one of my friends put it, “if you're going to catch ghosts at a rave”. Thanks for that one, Creel, that really helps

The light system is powered by a 9volt (included) that is fits snuggly in the frame and is easily replaceable. The elastic straps are adjustable and extra long so you can find your size and then trim them if the excess hangs out too far.
Paints used:
- Krylon Fusion Nickel Shimmer
- Testors Model Master Acryl Dark Green
- Krylon Ultra Flat Black
First a basecoat of Nickel Shimmer (so that any “natural” weathering will reveal a nice metal underneath). Then the frames were airbrushing Dark Green while the lenses and knobs were hit with Ultra Flat Black.
