Say you want to turn your car into an ecto look alike. What are the specifications it must meeet to be referred to as an Ecto. There's one car in the props section- I won't name names- that the submitter referred to as an ecto, when all it had was red “fins”…

If you ever watched RGB, you'd know that different vehicles were called Ecto-2, Ecto-3, Ecto-4, Ecto-5. Not all of them were 1959 MM's… actually only one of them was. I believe Ecto-5 was a Helicopter? I call my car Ecto-2k2/Ghost Tracker. Its not even white, its a maroon 2000 Chevy Tracker. So really, it doesn't matter if you call your car an ecto or not…. just as long as you don't call your grandma's station wagon Ecto-1.

actually, in RGB, Ecto-1 was a hearse, Ecto-2 was the helicopter, and Ecto-3 was a unicycle with a side car. And that was it. But all a car really needs is a GB logo on it, because Ecto-1 was just it's name because the name had to do with ghosts. The car itself doesn't neccessarily have to be a ghost hunting device, just a way to get to a job.

Actually there was an Ecto-4 in the comic book series. It was a flying vehicle of some sort and had time travel capability

If it makes a pure, true Ghostbusters statement big or small it means something. Its not a Complete replica but it stands for something we all love and when you cant afford miles of wiring, lightbars and a huge sound system (ok a sound system is un-neccisary but I just wanted to bug you TheEcto1a lol) and a Cadillac yourself you make do with what you got and live it up.

its because of that guy's matrix and five minute work, it got my mind throwin ideas around. i just need to find a place that makes car door magnets for the symbol. i'll only need the ghost part, as my car is red.

I think a ‘96 Ford Windstar would make a great ecto. It would have to be white, naturally. I’ll go to autotrder or somethign and geta link up to a pic.

i had an idea for the GBCD's Ecto to be a White 1992 Chevy Blazer. I think SUV's make decent ectomobiles, dispite the rollover factor.
