Wait, has the delay been officially announced or is this all still rumor?

At this point, theres really no telling, if the deal wasn't delayed, I'd be surprised, but I wouldn't put it past Sony to delay it till 09 for the 25th anniversary.

i hope game well not be delayed but

who knows ebgames still has the game be shiped on 21 of October

The only problem there is that a couple of months is 2 months, now if they release it with the 25th anniversary, thats a tad bit longer.

It is NOT a ‘couple’ of months. Couple means ‘two’ or ‘three’, an accurate description is ‘more than half a year’.

I'd just be greatful if people wouldn't use ‘wait a couple of months’ to describe a period that's actually a lot longer than that.

Can we please act like we appreciate all the effort Sony (and MANY others) have put into reviving the franchise in such a way that bolsters its longevity.

You're kidding, right? After how long they've jerked us around, dangled carrots in front of our faces and such? They owe us this game and so much more to make up for all they've done (and not done) over the years.

We could be faced with a slew of “cash-out” products, but instead we have been blessed with a continuation of the series.

I know you're tying to be diplomatic as they do likely have scouts who stop in to test/watch the proverbial waters of the community, but you also have to admit, just because they decided to greenlight the game and the other bits of merchandise coming out this year it doesn't clean their rather tarnished track record.

I can't really say I'm surprised though, this is Sony, the company that pushed the HD-DVD format out of business so they could push more of their PS3's, ugh, so it wouldn't surprise me, but of course, thats just sadly business for you, and all of us fans get punished for it.

to explain my comment earlier , I read a tweet that said Bill murray got 15 mil to do the game . It's not confirmed, thought is was common knowledge

Maybe it was a typo and meant it only took Murray 15 MINS to record the lines for the game… :-)

I highly suggest everyone with a hot head to read this blog entry I wrote earlier in the week.

Everyone is frustrated, I get it. But nothing gets solved by complaining and arguing. Nobody owes us anything. This sense of entitlement is really gross and I'm not sure where it comes from. We are fans of a franchise that hasn't seen any excitement for a span of time and now something exciting IS coming along, and there is still reason to complain.

I don't care of the game is delayed until 2011, get a grip! This game is going to be released when it's released. Let's look forward to it instead of getting huffy and puffy and alienating the people who come here with a level head on their shoulders.

We still haven't seen screenshots from the Nintendo DS version. We also haven't seen video from the Nintendo Wii / PS2 versions. There is a lot to look forward to. Let's not spoil what should be an exciting time for the franchise.
