game to hit stores in '09

I never said it wasn't ok to be upset. I said it was stupid to sit here and complain about it constantly and send as many annoying emails trying to argue for its release early.

I also didn't say it was acceptable to have to wait for a completed product.

What I said was, we're getting it. There's nothing we can do to get it on time, so the bitching and moaning isn't going to do anything. At least we're still getting it. And we're getting the new comics, new manga, RGB DVDs… all before the game now, that's still plenty of good merch to tide us over.

Besides the fact that once again, this is all still conjecture. It has not been officially delayed. It is all just speculation right now.

And calling this a major letdown is kind of dramatic. Its a letdown sure… it would be a major letdown if it was canceled. This is not major, we're still getting it, along with plenty of other great stuff.

One more time (was going to say “last time” but I know I'm gonna have to keep saying this), everyone needs to relax, at least until there's an official announcement delaying it.

Yeah, it doesn't sound like a “definite” for next year, but I know marketing would want to make this some huge anniversary bonanza, when they're repeatedly cared very little about the franchise or the fanbase.

I don't know what Activision's deal is. I loved their Atari 2600 and computer games. They even got the first GB video game out there on the market, not to mention several more. It's like they're really lost their identity as time has passed and they've gotten bigger. It's funny that Activision is starting to be called “The New EA”.

I hope this isn't the new trend. Just a small handful of mega-companies that assimilate every small and/or decent company out on the market. I'm getting tired of these “Borg” gaming corporations.

As of this week, Gamestop is still holding to October 21st. I hope it sticks to that street date. I don't want to delay this game when it's practically done so no new problems can be introduced.

At LEAST get this one gaming push out before Sony inevitably grounds Ghostbusters into the dirt again.

Yeah, I think I'm done with Activision for causing all of these problems.

Yeah but this wasn't Sony's fault it was Activision's; right now Sony is trying to pick up the pieces and find a publisher becasue they DO want the game to be released and if Activision hadn't dropped it Sony wouldn't have tried to delay only now that they don't have a publisher are they considering it.

So… the game is delayed but they are sending out what looks like demos to Game Writers? It looks like we may see a demo in September after all.

Now that is weird. What is that all about? What makes it even weirder is that the person who sent it was from Activision Blizzard not Sierra so why would they send a demo if they knew they weren't going to publish it? I'm confused. (*winston)

I got a feeling something big is going to happen soon.

Maybe that demo is on the US Post service since a week before, just before the Activision pushing back GB game, or the postal service is that accurate that the demo could arrive in one day??

I thought about that but then when I saw that it was from Activision Blizzard NOT Sierra. THEY knew they weren't going to publish the game long before we did probably weeks ago.

There's only really so much we can do with speculation until we hear a confirmation, either of the delay or that things are going ahead…

Between this and the ‘cancellation’ we've had a rather dramatic end of the week… suppose now we should just work things out of the system and see what decision is met by the people with the big bucks.

I know I could use a breather, my head is spinning!
