GB II symbol....what did you think they meant by it?

Of course in our actuallity, it was meant to symbolize a sequel, but what about for those in the movie? I always thought of it as the ghost giving the peace sign. That's why if there was a third installment, I'd say either use that or the one in Fixer's profile. But, what does everyone else think?

My question is why did the GBs have to wear the II patch on their arms and put it on the Ecto-1. Did the GB characters know that they were in a sequel???

Well, like the Ecto-1, it was out of commission for a long time, so maybe the new insignia was symbolic of their “second coming.” Personally, I hate the GB2 logo. Give me the original!

I'm not to sure what the GB2 symbol ment to those in the movie, a 2nd coming perhaps.

But i they did a third movie, I hope they use Fixer's logo, that's awesome.

That's what I kinda meant by this post, since they can't know they were in a sequel, what did they mean by it. I still go with saying they wanted to make their ghost do the peace sign.

I will say one thing if they do make a ghostbusters 3 they can use the no ghost holding up 3 fingers but in the movie it better be the original logo on the firehouse and ecto-1a and patches.

They darn well better not use the three fingered no-ghost logo…
that's just stupid…

at least the GB2 logo can be used as a dign of peace…

the 3 fingers is just unoriginal…

The GB2 symbol (In my opinon) was used to help convey the message of the movie. Peace. As for GB3, I prefer something new….

In the movie it was just showing that they were back in business and it was a “Grand Re-Opening”. . .and *if* we ever get to see a GB3, it'd be back to normal, the number 2 is just a promotional gimmick.
