I can tell you. In that scene, the bust was at that place that I- FORT DETMERRING! It's called the FORT DETMERRING SCENE!!! YES!!! Anywho, Ray and Winston were on the bust and when they were inside, they found nothing, thinking it was a hoax. Each buster was alone, so Ray saw the old jacket and put it on. I think that was how that happened. I hope it explains it a bit more. It was just Ray being a big kid.

This scene was part of the shooting script and was mostly filmed, but cut from the final film.

An account of it, along with pictures, can be found in the book Making Ghostbusters.

This scene has been the focus of a number of topic threads, including one started the day before this thread.

Why didn't you post your question there?

Is it just me or has it seemed like there have been a lot of questions about this in the past few weeks?

Who knows, they did a terrible job on making both dvd's, first one not as bad as the second, and every time I hear about dvd I get very angry |. Shame on you Sony.

A lot of extra materials could not be used in the DVD as the rights to them were still held in part by Voyager, the makers of the Criterion Collection laserdisc.

A better question is why didn't Criterion opt to make the DVD?

(Shakes head in disapproval)

We don't need to hear that.
