but thats not what im wondering. Im wondering if Run DMC themself released the song on one of there cds. I know theres the GBII sound track but did DMC release the song themselfs not counting on the GBII sound track

I do know that Bobby Brown included “On Our Own (Theme from Ghostbusters II)” on at least one of his greatest hits albums, if that helps.

there's definitely a remixed version of ‘On Our Own’ on his ‘Dance, Ya Know It’ collection. i know this because I got it for my birthday many moons ago!
