Ghostbusters Blu-ray 06/16/09

Definately purchasing these Bluerays! Just a small question, will the dvd be region free? I'm not 100% sure that the flags on the Sony Site mean that it's region free. I hope it is, wouldn't mind getting the special added deedlies. Since I'm not sure the Australian one will have everything the US release will have.

Just keep an eye on this site and it will tell you if it is region free or not nearer release date.

the original classic black cover is the one it needs to be, i agree the green slime cover is horrid

The Digital Bits site has just posted an image of the Blu-Ray cover for Ghostbusters, thankfully it's not green, unfortunately it's not black either. I think I can live with it.

I guess some fans are aware of the video quality changes made to the 2005 DVDs (slime green box set). But as explained in the above thread, do you we will get a HD print similar to the 2005 edition with the original colors modified? I hope the colors and shadows are similar to the 1999 version, which I am guessing was more closer to the theatrical release print.

Proton Charging has the Blu-Ray trailer up right now. Looks great. Some of the special features look fantastic, like the “Restoration of Ecto-1”. Hearing Dan say he “never thought he'd see her all shined up like this again” was really heart warming. It almost felt like he would get teared up right there.
