Hey there everyone… it seems that since I uploaded most of my Ghostbusters remixes onto my website, i've had nothing but props, and many other webmasters have linked directly to my page (digg.com, protoncharging.com etc). The Project Remix page is now the number 2 Google.com search result too, so it's pretty good that the remixes are now available centrally, and as stable downloads too!

However. It was originally intended as something for just board members only, and it seems that everyone has chipped in to make it bigger and better. My intention now is to go that next step further - my collection of remixes is now 80 .mp3 files, as opposed to the available 52 on the site. I intend to re-vamp the page, and make all the files available as individual downloads, rather than ‘bulk’ .RAR files, however they'll still have to be compressed in order to avoid my server detecting them, because then we'll lose the site.

I'm STILL missing out on some Ghostbusters remixes! For a start, as much as I detest it, I need the “Ghost Ride It” .mp3 from Mistah F.A.B or whatever his name is. I also need any other new or rare Ghostbusters remixes, including (if anyone knows where to get it) DJ Yoshitaka's remix of the theme from IIDX Gold (Youtube link here) and the Pop Chop remix featuring various artists from the “Cut the F**k Up” CD (Amazon link here). If ANYONE has anything else music-wise which they can contribute to the site, not only I, but the entire worldwide Ghostbusters community would be appreciative. If you did some searching on Google, you will find a MP3 of Mistah F.A.B. ‘s “Ghost Ride It”. There’s lots of them out there.

Secrecyguy - thanks for that, although you did jump to the conclusion that I *hadn't* searched Google. Where do you think the majority of my remix collection came from…? Thanks for the offer of the music video though, but no worries, i'm only hosting the mp3s (^_^)

Thanks to everyone who's e-mailed me and PM'd me, i've sorted out my collection and binned the duplicates and whatnot. I now have a total of 82 Ghostbusters related mp3s, which i've sorted into four categories:

MASHUPS - Tracks which contain Ray Parker Jr's “Ghostbusters” blended in with one or more other songs of a similar BPM to create a mix or ‘mashup’ of music. I currently have 15 tracks in this section.

COVERS - Tracks which are re-made versions of, or are clearly inspired by, the original “Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr, but don't use any samples. I currently have 38 tracks in this section.

REMIXES - Tracks which feature elements or samples of the original “Ghostbusters” songs by Ray Parker Jr, recombined to produce a new track with the same lyrics. I currently have 14 tracks in this section.

OFFICIAL - Tracks which have been official released and ‘tied to’ the Ghostbusters name. I currently have 8 tracks in this section, but they're all the Ghostbusters theme, or variations of. I'm considering adding unofficial rips of soundtracks etc, but not entirely convinced. Any opinions anyone?

ALTERNATIVES - Tracks which feature elements or samples of the original “Ghostbusters” songs by Ray Parker Jr, but use alternative lyrics where the song has a different meaning. I currently have 7 tracks in this section.

I'm gonna start uploading shortly, and work on the layout thisafternoon, so the site should be completed by tomorrow! :-)

It boggles the mind just how many covers, variations and mixes there are of that tune… sure speaks for how popular it has and may always be.
