i cut the hole in the lazy suzan so the edges line up with the center of the holes on the cyclotron, and with some aluminum foil around the 180 degree leds for diffusion, i used lots of tape and a bit of patience.

I've heard some fixtures, such as those found in flashlights, work well and add extra effect. You should probably use less glue and more screws incase of heat build up( you also want to be able to repair it).
