As we all know the original ecto 1 is sitting on the parking lot on sony pictures, and this car is in a really bad condition so I started a petition for the restoration of the Original ecto 1 since no one has made one before ( I think ) so friends U are welcome to sign it. (*peter)

Well, the fact that they are getting restored has gotten a few people thinking that a new movie is going to be made which is the reasoning for the restoration.

I don't know about you guys, but the Ecto looks.. off. It's looks awesome, but it's just a little bit off. Just compare my sig ecto. perhaps the white wasn't the same white? or is it just the glossyness of it?

Whilst I think the car is shinier then it was in the movies, also keep in mind there's a bit of a purple haze over everything if you got that screenshot from the 1999 DVD release of the first film. For whatever reason that release had a purple haze.
I don't think it matters though, just seeing the car restored is great in it's own right.

Also the Red tube thing (the one from the deleted “Possessed Ecto” scene) is facing a different direction. In your sig it's facing our left, in the restoration it's facing our right.

The TV antanna was built to rotate so it swung around a lot (you can see they tied it down when Ecto-1 arrives outside Dana's apartment).
