I want to build a GB proton pack but i dont know where I should start… I got some plans from this site but i dont know which part of the pack to work on first. Any help would be good

the initial building should start with a series of boxes. If you using wood….like me, I'd start with the easiest one on the plans. I assume your using norm's plans. In my opinion, there the best. So start with the boxes. most people will tell you, don't do the motherboard untill you have the boxes done. and if ya mess up on the boxes, don't worry about it, they don't really matter. What matters is getting the details right. You can majorly screw up the boxes, but if your paint jub is bad, or if you glued on a bunch of stupid household item to your pack instead of going for the real deal, that can kill the look.

I disagree with that last part. Putting household items on it will only kill the look if your going for a replica. Mine's made from pvc pipes, and some household items and it looks good, but if it were supposed to be a replica it sucks.

In some cases, using common household items can look pretty good, if they look remotely like the real deal. Also, some of the real deal is household items. Hope this helped. And I think that the last guys advice is pretty good.

thanks………and yeah, household items can be good, but what I was refering to is some of the packs I've seen where the whole thing was made out of just junk there person found. Just be carefully when yo uget to the end of the project and TRY to go as real as possible and you'll do fine.

Would the Crank Generator Gearbox deal be a good box to start on? I still dont know about doing MB last because then i dont have a bse to start on

Yeah…do all the boxes first in my opinion. (EDA, Power Cell, Crank, ATT, Gun Mount, etc.)

Start on the boxes first, but DO NOT start with the gear box, it's a bit harder then it looks. Start with the gun mount and the bridge. Then do the EDA. Then, do the gear box. Then do the ion arm and the power cell. The power cell and ion arm are the smallest (and the hardest), so by the time you get to them, you'll be so used to building boxes, they'll be easy. As for the motherboard. Do it last, but if you want, you can cut out the dimmentions now, so that you know you have enough board. Thats not the problem with the mother board. The problem, is trying to have all your boxes match up with it. If you build it first, it might not happen, but if you do it last, you can customize your mother board to fit your boxes. Also, Overlord, are you the guy who said that your friends boss is selling 59' cadalac? if so, where does he live?
