Important Message for my Fellow GB Fans

This may be Warner Brothers, and Matrix related, however, it could have a ripple effect that could reach even Ghostbusters.net.

Warner Bros. is going after fan sites of the Matrix. I have an article posted explaining the whole thing. One part that I didn't mention in this article was the Store. They may ask me to also remove my store, even though it contains original images, it is still based on their properties, and they are “uncomfortable” with that.

Warner Brothers Strikes!

Unless they are reproducing copyrighted material on the site, it could be argued that the sites are “news providers” and thus are covered by the Fair Use act. Take a look over on GBHQ for the document explaining- there was a great essay printed about two years ago on this.

It is a great thing to read.

I really like your site, I know Fox, and WB do go around asking people to remove from their sites and it can suck. They probably don't understand the work someone puts into a site.

Either that or they don't care about what the fans do Ectoman.

Thanks for the help, Ectoman. I wasn't at my “home” machine at time of posting. It's a shame that the studios are such sticklers considering that the internet fan base is the majority of the box office gross that they pocket.

theyre just afriad of loosing money, and if you make money off of it in some kind of way, “It's Illegal!”

its almost like the crap Sony's pulling with the selling of completed Proton Packs. unless these propers took a mold of the damn thing, i dont think it would be violating any stautes of any kind, because we dont know the exact dimentions. does this sound about right, AJ?
