Janosh, or Louis? Who did you like better?

This thread is testament to both men's success as character actors in these films. With Dan, Bill, Harold & Ernie, you take them out of the flightsuits and they're pretty much the same people. However, Louis and Yanosz were such completely crafted characters, Rick & Peter don't act or even sound anywhere near that way in real life. Entertainment Weekly even voted Peter MacNichol's “the best fake accent since Bronson Pinchot in ‘Beverly Hills Cop.’” High praise indeed. smile

Peter MacNicol took a generic thug and gave him an accent and quirks making him a worthy Renfield. Louis was comic relief.

I like Louis better. I found his character to be better than Janosh. Janosh was kinda one dimensional. Louis was a funny, funny character.

Louis was funnier in the first film. However, Peter MacNicol as Janosh totally steals the show in the second movie. Maybe I'm just nostalgic from just seeing the second movie.

Janosh is funny

Louis is just out-there wink

Lous has funnier lines, but I'd have to go with Janosh. He's just not as annoying or – shall we say – unintelligent-sounding.

Louis. There's just no comparison (although they're both pretty geeky wink).
