Prince of Persia: Sands of Time. It wasn't that bad. Better than I thought it was going to be but still could have been way better.

Definitely had some nice eye candy

Iron Man 2

Loved it. Not sure if I like it better than the original or not, but it's definitely a worthy sequel.

Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time.

I know for certain that I enjoyed eight 10ths of the whole movie…

…it's that remaining two that things hinge on, it's not that I hated them… but the ending did knock me for a loop, certainly not what I was expecting from what could be intended as a summer blockbuster.

I guess it boils down to two things. 1) It's a Deus Ex Machina in the purest definition of the term… undoing eight 10ths of the movie we'd seen up to that point… 2) The deaths of those who were helping Dastan and Tamina are in a way, effectively rendered in vain - Tamina especially (even though they are obviously, brought back to life).

In some ways the ending could be described as a bit anticlimatic… with it seeming that there could've been a bit more to the confrontation between Dastan and Nizam in the sand glass chamber…

But maybe that's a good thing, it didn't have the obvious “Hollywood summer blockbuster” ending, deciding to choose something a bit more understated and dignified.

I guess I'll have to sleep on it.

The reverting time back in the end…you do realize that's how the game ended…right?

I figure that since the first entry into the SoT trilogy is 7 years old at this point in time…that I am not really spoiling anything for anyone. (*winston)

Not to mention, time travel stories seem to all end the same.

I was surprised really at how much the movie paralleled the game. After seeing it I sat down and started playing it again with everything from the movie fresh in my mind. (Wish I could have seen the movie with the events of the game fresh in my mind)

Last night I watched “Meatball Machine” for the first time… pretty damn good. I reccomend it to fans of “Tokyo Gore Police”, “Dead Alive”, and “Riki Oh”.

Other than that:
“Howling” - Good.
“Wolven” - Sucked.
“Prom Night 3” - Delightfully bad.
1/4 of “Prom Night 4” - Pure shit.
“Zombie Holocaust” - On a “gross!” scale of 1 -10… it gets an 11. I'm now a fan.
“Scanners” three times in a row in one night is a night of entertainment.

The Wolfman

One of the best Werewolf movies in a very long time. Best since American Werewolf in London.
